Welcome to the Connecticut Anti-Silent Book Club
Welcome to the loudest book club in Connecticut! You can hear us reading from across the room.
What's an Anti-Silent Book Club, you ask? It's our monthly gathering where we kick off with 30 minutes of mingling, followed by an hour for you to read any book you want (no assigned reading), or simply continue chatting; there's no shushing here. By 7 o’clock, the official meeting ends, but feel free to keep your conversations going, continue reading, or head out—whatever you want because this is your time!!
Books, beer, and making new friends—what's better than that? This event is free and open to the public, but please support the brewery for hosting us in their beautiful space.
Our goal is to create a safe space for social connection. Bring your kid, partner, friend, or come alone—we encourage it!
Our location changes, so be sure to sign up for the newsletter or join our Facebook group to get the most current updates. When in doubt, we'll be outside if it's sunny and warm, and inside if it's cold and raining. Just look for someone holding a book or wearing nametags!
